Jesse is originally from Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. He grew up playing travel soccer and continued playing soccer and also lacrosse in high school and college. After graduating from Elizabethtown College, Jesse began his career in law enforcement – first with the Pennsylvania State Police and later moving to Maryland where he currently works at a municipal agency in Prince George’s County. There is no career Jesse would rather be in and during his sixteen-year career he has worked in patrol, the canine unit, investigations, training, and the special operations division.
Jesse was a devoted distance runner after his initial police academy but a light bulb went on while he was preparing for the selection process and school for his department’s SWAT Team in 2012. Jesse realized that all officers are “occupational athletes” and should be training that way! Knowing a more functional fitness program was necessary to get stronger, more flexible, and most importantly to stay healthy he asked around for ideas.
A fellow officer and friend introduced him to CrossFit in 2012 and everything about the workouts, atmosphere, and community was a perfect fit! Jesse worked out at two different CrossFit gyms for 6 years before meeting Rick and Lura in 2018. After dropping into Blue Crab Fitness in 2019 Jesse knew it was the perfect place to work on not only his own fitness journey, but where he could help inspire others with their fitness goals! Now, he continues to be driven by his desire to demonstrate fitness in his career, but also to be a role model for his three daughters.
