Bio
Hannah is about as ‘Maryland’ as she can get. She was raised in Maryland, right around the corner in Ellicott city, and graduated from the University of Maryland with her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and her Master’s degree in Physical Education. She grew up playing sports but found her first ‘true love’ in competitive cheerleading. From 3rd Grade all the way to 9th Grade, Hannah was an avid competitive cheerleader, dabbling in other sports here and there. It wasn’t until high school where she switched gears and become immersed in the Field Hockey world. She went on to play Field Hockey at Catholic University in Washington D.C. and then transferred to the University of Maryland, where she was President of the club team there.
During her time as an athlete, the high intensity intervals and training workouts was what fueled her fire. Through her study, she was able to get a CrossFit internship at a nearby box in Bethesda, Maryland. She quickly become enthralled with CrossFit’s intensity, variance, and results-driven workouts. When her internship ended, she decided to get her CrossFit Level One certification, back in 2014. From there, Hannah has worked at four different CrossFit Gyms. Three in Bethesda/Rockville area, and now currently, Blue Crab Fitness. She can say with confidence that Blue Crab has the best community, programming, and coaches around. She continues to be inspired by our members and loves to train alongside them. Outside of training adults, another passion of Hannah’s is inspiring our young generation to love fitness and movement as much as she does. Hannah is currently a Blue Crab Kids coach. She hopes to inspire those around her and make an impact whenever possible.
