Catherine has been a member of Blue Crab since November 2018 and has been coaching since 2019. She began exercising in 2004 using home workout DVDs. Her son Luke persuaded her to try CrossFit. Despite initial hesitations, she tried a six-week challenge and quickly fell in love with CrossFit. The workouts are varied, intense, and comprehensive. Athletes and coaches at the gym motivate and encourage. CrossFit is an investment in health, especially important as we age, preserving our range of motion and strength. Workouts are scalable as needed, yet challenging enough for advanced athletes. Catherine has a heart for people like her, who may have spent many years inactive but want to change. It’s never too late to start! When not at the gym, Catherine loves spending time with her husband, six children and three grandchildren. Catherine is also a certified birth doula, childbirth educator, and certified perinatal fitness instructor.
